Hi and welcome to the first instalment of . . .Why do so many
people fail online - and what you can do about it
Are you still struggling to make money online ? I know how
difficult it can seem, in fact over 80% of people actual give up.
In this course I will be trying to show you what you can do about
it. Including how you can earn �100 a week . . . �5,000 a month, and
how to develop your �250,000 year business. But first of all lets get stuck in
and look at why so many people give up . . . .
* Scams. People get burned, they give up and walk away.
* Poor Information. You send off for a money making system only to
find the information is poor, its lacking content and direction and
leaves you confused.
* Obstacles in your way. You try something but its a bit
difficult. There are new things to learn. Obstacles just get in your
way, you don't have the time. Whether you are starting a business
online or off-line there will aways be problems. If you can't be
persistent and overcome problems then maybe running a business is
not for you.
* Get Rich Quick. These schemes can seem like a good idea, the sales
page is so good so compelling you must have it. We've all been
there, the promise of easy money for little effort and time. In the
end it just a waste. Another project in the bin. You might get your
money back and then you have to start again and struggle on.
* Leap frogging One very real problem is what I call "leap
frogging". This is where a person decides to create an internet
business. But problems crop up, obstacles get in the way, things
don't work as they are supposed to, and after a short time this
person gives up and leapfrogs onto the next great opportunity.
Another few months down the line and the same thing happens again,
and that person leapfrogs to another opportunity and so on.
* Expectations. Are you expecting to much ? You can't run before
you can walk. Neither can you expect to earn �5,000/month within
weeks. If your fairly new to internet marketing ask yourself this;
how long would it take you to learn a new trade or speak a different
language ?
Whether or not the top experts and gurus will admit it, the truth
is it took them a year or two to start making serious money. The
same applies to you. Rome wasn't built in a day.
Here is a simple formula that you might like to apply . . .
Information + Effort + Time + Persistence = Profits
* Information We live in a "I want it now" society, and for many
people its a case of they just can't be bothered to do the
necessary research. If you haven't got the information your going
nowhere. All the information you need is available on the internet.
* Effort Its just too much trouble, when problems occur and
obstacles get in the way, and they always will. Do you give up ?
* Time You don't have the time, its much easier to watch the
television. You have to make time. Just stop watching the goggle
box for one hour a day and see what you can really achieve.
* Persistence This is the biggie. Persistence overcomes everything.
If any of the above applies to you, then you should have a
re-think, maybe an online business is not for you, otherwise you are
just wasting your time.

all different, we are all individuals and as such we are all
looking for different things. What may suit or interest you would
probably not interest me or another person. With that in mind I
have tried to cover several areas in the forthcoming instalments. I
hope this helps you in some way.
Are You Standing at the Crossroads
There are hundreds of different ways to make money online, and with
each passing week new technology and new ideas bring new
opportunities. The problem is "where do I start" Its so easy to
have three or four projects on the go, all in different area's,
I've done it myself. But you only end up getting no-where fast.
Its simply a case of too many choices, your standing at the
crossroads with twenty different roads to go down. What direction
should you choose ?

Build an affiliate business
Selling from your own website
Drop shipping
Subscription websites
E-books
Software development
Product development
The list goes on
With all the choices before you its often hard to pick just one.
Many people just agonise over which direction to take, like a deer
frozen in the headlights of an oncoming car. Think carefully about
what you want from the business, how much time can you give ?
Scenario 1 . . . Jean operates an ebay business. Although she uses
drop-shipping companies, for most of her products Jean buys in.
This means that her sitting room is permanently taken up for stock,
as Jean sells between 20 -30 items a day she has to spend time on
her computer listing and tracking everything, she also has to
physically wrap and label everything and then take it to the post
office. Jean normally works a 55 hour week, but she enjoys it.
Scenario 2 . . . Mike sells ebooks from websites. He out sources
most of the work. He researches the subject, the book is written by
a contractor, then uploaded to a website created by a contractor.
Mike then outsources other contractors to get traffic to his
website. At first this seems an expensive way to do things, but
when you consider that many contractors live in poor countries
where $50 for a weeks work can be a considerable sum, then this is
a real bargain. Mike only works mornings and very infrequently
weekends. Mike values his free time.
Which would you choose ?
Choose your type of business carefully be persistent and never give
up. Problems and obstacles will always be there, that's life, learn
to overcome them.
You only fail when you give up.
Understand your long term goal. What type of business do you really
want, how much are you looking to earn, and how will it take you to
your goal. Don't be mislead by the scamsters who promise you
untold wealth, you know what I mean, "earn $5000 a week in less
than one month" type of thing.
